Essential Oil Recipes

Cooking with essential oils is a great way to benefit from the power of essential oils through your diet.  But in order to make it happen, you need some essential oil recipes.

Below are some recipes I've used for cooking and baking with essential oils.*

There are even some recipes for essential oil drinks.

Every one of these recipes is positively delicious!

lavender lemonade

LAVENDER LEMONADE

Juice from 7 lemons

Juice from 2 limes

14 cups water

1 1/2 cups agave

1 drop of Young Living Lavender Vitality oil

Mix all ingredients together and chill.  Add more water or agave, depending on the size and tartness of the fruit.

PEPPERMINT ICED TEA

4 decaffeinated green tea bags

1/4 cups agave

3 drops Young Living Peppermint Vitality oil

3 limes

In the bottom of a 64-ounce pitcher, pour agave and peppermint vitality essential oil. Pour hot water over top and stir. Add tea bags and steep until it has a dark caramel color. Quarter limes. Fill serving glasses with ice and squeeze one lime slice in each glass. Pour tea over ice and garnish with a sprig of mint and serve.

SWEET NUT MIX

3 cups whole, raw nuts (almonds, walnuts, and pecans)

1/8-1/3 cup agave

1-2 drops young Living Cinnamon Bark Vitality oil

Coat stovetop pan with oil or butter.  On medium heat, cook nuts and agave for 10-15 minutes.  Stir continually to ensure nuts do not burn. When you can smell the nuts cooking, remove from heat and add cinnamon bark vitality essential oil and stir to coat. Place nuts on wax or parchment paper to cool.  Nuts may be placed close to one another to form clusters or may be separated. Makes 3 cups.
